Telescope Making
The is the X-Scope, a 12.25" f4.5 Newtonian Refractor. The tube is a unique carbon fiber strut design. The mirror was hand ground and figured to better then 1/20th wave. It is mounted on a vintage Takahashi NJP mount.

This is the Okapi, a 4" f10 achromatic refractor with a research grad Vixen objective and a hand-coopered maple and walnut tube. The mount is a solid mahagony alt-az design.
This is Audrey - a compact 6" f6 mini-dob. The secondary board stows in the mirror box. This scope was designed using the mirrors from my first telescope project -- a standard 6" Newtonian ground and assembled at the Adler Planetarium in Chicago.

This is the Zebra - it was my first attempt at a coopered tube and was totally contructed with an 8" Sears table saw and a router. It is an 8" f6 Newtonian.
